Named one of Travel Channel’s top Mexican restaurants in the country, Taco Guild is a staple in the Phoenix food and beverage community. Known for its beautiful historic church architecture and delicious food offerings, it was an honor that Taco Guild reached out to Mural Mates about two mural opportunities at the 7th street location. 

The first task was adding a catchy, Instagram worthy mural that captured the brand of Taco Guild at the entrance of their restaurant. The second was touching up an existing logo mural that lives 16’ above the dining area. In 2 phases, we painted the “But First, Tacos” murals starting with 1 color and then adding color in the second phase.

Mural Mates designed and hand-painted a single tone mural that reads “But First, Tacos” overlaying a silhouette of the church building that is seen on their branded merchandise. As requested, we stenciled their top three hashtags below the mural so visitors can connect with the restaurant on social media. 

We added gold to their logo mural to brighten up the space and add more color, which will soon be reflected in their branding.
